BBE

PBIS

We are having a fundraiser for PBIS, which is our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support Program.  This program rewards students in a positive way for making good choices and following our school’s Rules and Expectations.

Students can earn PAW Tickets to purchase goodies at our PAW Store. Students can also earn admission into our 9 weeks social (K-3rd) and our 9 weeks Game Room (4th-6th) by having an A/B average in conduct on their report card (with no referrals or recess detentions).

During our 9 Weeks Social and Game Room, students get about 20 minutes to play games and receive a drink and a treat.   These activities and prizes cost money and we need to replenish our supplies.  We are asking for your help to raise money for this program.  The items that we need are listed below.  We would very much appreciate any of these items if you can donate them.  If you can help, please send the items to school with your child.

List of items needed:

Capri Suns

Little Debbie Cakes

Small Individual bags of chips

Small bottles of water

COMMUNITY ELIGIBILITY PROVISION (CEP)

Beginning this school year, all students at Bayou Black Elementary will be part of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program, as part of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.  All students at Bayou Black Elementary are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge to your household each day of the 2016-2017 school year.  No further action is required by guardians of our students.  All students will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application, as long as they remain at Bayou Black Elementary or if they transfer to another school in Terrebonne Parish that is participating.

If you have any questions about CEP, please contact the Child Nutrition Department at (985) 876-7407.  For further information, you can also visit the USDA Community Eligibility Provision website (click here).

Ongoing Fundraising

We are collecting labels from Box Tops for Education, Community Coupons, Campbell's, and caps from Coca Cola products.  These items may be sent to school any time.  All money made from these companies help to buy supplies and incentives for our students.
