To Report Child Abuse/Neglect

To report child abuse and neglect, call the DCFS Child Protection hotline toll free 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.




Request for Behavior Assistance

Parents can complete an RFA and turn it into their child's teacher or the office.  Requests will be reviewed during SBLC meetings and parents will be notified of decisions made.

Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)

This school year, all students at Bayou Black Elementary will be part of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program, as part of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.  All students at Bayou Black Elementary are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge to your household each day of the 2016-2017 school year.  No further action is required by guardians of our students.  All students will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application, as long as they remain at Bayou Black Elementary or if they transfer to another school in Terrebonne Parish that is participating.

Ongoing Fundraising

We are collecting labels from Box Tops for Education, Community Coupons, and caps from Coca Cola products.  These items may be sent to school any time.  All money made from these companies help to buy supplies and incentives for our students.

T-Shirt Tuesdays-Students can wear BBE T-shirts with uniform bottoms

Parent Volunteers-Those parents wanting to volunteer may report at 9:00 am.

Monday After School Tutoring---will resume in February--3:15-4:45: 1st grade-Group 1; 3rd/4th grades ELA; 5th/6th grades Math

Wednesday After School Tutoring---will resume in February--3:15-4:45: 1st grade-Group 2; 3rd/4th grades Math; 5th/6th grades ELA


PJ Day--Students may wear their PJs to school.  No gowns or slippers.  Heels and toes must be covered.
